Moet & Chandon champagne bar in Harrods, London

The eponymous French Maison, Moet & Chandon, founded in 1743, has created a broad spectrum of unique wines for every occasion which have since early days, graced the courts of France under Louis XV, to the red carpets of Hollywood, fashion weeks and has now taken centre stage at Harrods, the world’s most famous department store. Both Harrods and Moet & Chandon are synonymous with elegance and luxury and that is precisely the experience that awaits you when you visit their new Champagne Bar located in the Beauty Hall.

A short step away from Dyptique, stands a curvaceous bar bathed in light by a chandelier of interconnected gold discs.

On the menu,  walk-ins or partners in wine, can tickle their tastebuds with a glass of Classic Brut Imperial NV, cocktails such as ‘Peach Blossom‘ and ‘Champagne Shake’ or for champagne enthusiasts, savour exceptional wines from the Moët & Chandon Legacy Champagne Grand Vintage and Legacy Champagne Rare Limited-Edition Bottle Collections – with the likes of a 1959 Grand Vintage Magnum worth £4,400 on offer.

To accompany the savoury fizz, an army of sumptuous sweet and savoury dishes has been created. The bar’s signature ‘Choux Love’ dish – a mouthwatering dessert of choux pastry buns with a mango & passion fruit diplomat filling (each branded with one of the four M O Ë T letters) - to the deliciously tempting ‘Cheese Délice' - a Burrata Stracciatella, or a spicy Kimchi & black sesame toastie.

Other notable dishes include the aptly named ‘The World Is Your Oyster’ – rock oysters, pear & cucumber, Oscietra caviar; the vegan-friendly ‘Not Another Faux Pas’ – faux gras, rhubarb, ginger and bread; and the unctuous ‘Moët Caramel’ - a dark chocolate shell (cleverly cast in the shape of a Moët & Chandon embossed bottle plaque) filled with 66% dark chocolate mousse & salted caramel, served on a crunchy biscuit.

We’re bubbling with excitement aren’t you?
